Methods & Madness
Tessa Liebman has been cooking in her hometown of New York City for over ten years in the kitchens of restaurants, catering firms, and private homes. She taught a culinary program for underemployed adults and was the executive chef at Shiraz. Most recently, Tessa created the dinner series Methods & Madness. With M&M, Tessa has tapped into the network of creatives she has found herself happily surrounded by. With each dinner, she learns about the processes (the "methods") and inspiration (the "madness") that different artists and makers use to create. She loves that she "gets to follow amazing people around all day" to inform the menus for each dinner where the artist creates a limited edition work for the guests. So far M&M has featured perfume makers, photographers, font designers, foragers, baristas, bespoke herbal cocktail mixers, illustrators, and other illustrious creatives. Her food style and writing can be found in such outlets as Brides, WSJ, BonAppetit.com, Epicurious, and Latin Lover magazine.
