This Place is for the Universe

Home Made is a live-in showroom that presents a revolving collection of artwork, food, furniture, lighting and homeware within the context of an apartment in downtown New York City. Hand-crafted objects bring this experience to life by connecting the touch of the human hand to both utility and the simple beauty of form, giving each piece an individual character. Moving beyond nostalgia, we focus on work that is a hybrid of both traditional and contemporary processes.

The focus is on objects, works and food that simultaneously reflect on the past, present and future.  With this evolution in mind, our collection evokes a spirit of "innovative aesthetics," an idea of new work that literally applies to every shape, style and form. The Home Made community of artists & designers are all NYC based, and each offers a unique story of a work-in-progress.

The nature of commerce generates fresh ideas and work based on exchange. It is yet another reflection of a Home that is constantly in-flux.
